Looking at the plentiful letters of complaint on the newspaper forum pages about the planning and organization (or the lack of it) of the airshow, one can't seem to help but think that Singapore has a long way to go in organizing major events.

I have no such worry. Such lapse in planning are not considered lapse at all to the organizers. They are always more interested in going all the way for VIPs. Who cares about the public? Thats the Singapore mentality, be it political institutions or the men on the road.
